The last couple of The Family Table Devotions have been Lent meditations based around water. Today’s meditation is based on this upcoming Sunday’s Old Testament reading from Ezekiel 37 and the dry bones.
Dry
Can these dry bones live
Jesus, you know
My hope is lost
I cry out to the wind
Still I am dry
You put me in the middle of the valley
I had to admit seeing all the dry bones
The others all very dry, too
I am asked to proclaim to the dry
Jesus, you know
The wind is spirit
The Spirit is breath
With the breath is life
The bones come together
The promise
Brought to the mountain
Cleansed
One Shepherd
Dry bones hear the Word of the Lord
You Know
